Lola Willson
A career 'pop'and classical organist, Lola Willson performs SRO event concerts using her own clever stylings and arrangements of popular song hits. Since coming to Portland she has been a full-time church organist. She is currently the "Artist in Residence" for Keyboard Engineering and also teaches Organ and Keyboard lessons at that location. Several Portland area organ club members are included in her busy teaching schedule.
Her piano training began at age 3 and she became a church pipe organist at age 11! She performed her first classical piano recital at age 19. As a teenager, she joined three brothers to form a jazz combo that performed in East San Francisco Bay area night spots. She played as a pop organist for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses activities for several years and made organ recordings for Leslie Speaker Company demonstrations.
