I had to start this little list of what I've updated to keep myself in check. There's a few new pages, updates to old ones, and other stuff. Granted it's a short list now, but wait a year! You'll be hollering at me to crop the page into two or three pages!

Gadzooks, an update! Added a paragraph under Jabo, fixed and added notations on the Radio index page, and tackled some typos.
Yes, the site was hacked by some pre-pubescent 14 year-old. It's back to abnormal now!
Added the Bf-109 F4, F4F-4, A6M2, P-51B and P-51D to Ground School.
Added an Engineering section that covers props, superchargers, turbos, aerodynamics and lean-of-peak. It's under Ground School.
Added a few new calls to the Vox list under Radio Jargon. Eventually I hope to have the most thorough index of brevity code available here. Though how long that'll take is obviously an unknown.
Posted a new article on anti-tank work called Killin Cans. Guns, bombs, and rocket attacks against vehicles are covered here. Over the next month I hope to expand it to cover attacks against ships as well.
Wow, a whole new year already? Where does the time go... Re-wrote the fighter types page under Reference from a more professional viewpoint.
Pyro released BETA 10 of AH2 the other day with mixed results. Some guys have improvements, others are seeing zilch for frame-rate, so it's coming along nicely.
Merry Christmas! Ok, I'm two days late, I know. Updated Jabo Tactics with a second page. Added three new maneuvers in The Basics, and added some material to Etiquette of Air Combat. Wishful "Knights of the Sky" take special note of that last page.
Radio Jargon updated with more voice calls, and a page with two examples of vox comm usage.
A big-time note from Pyro got posted today. At the moment AH2 is coming along, but it might take a tad longer than anyone first thought. How come? Well, they're re-working the flight model for a lot more accuracy. The current AH has "blocks" on the fuselage and wings where the physics are applied. According to Pyro, each wing has only three or so blocks. What's changing is the number of these "blocks"; a far larger number of them. As a result, aircraft physics will be changing drastically in some cases, only a little in others. It truly depends on the individual aircraft. To compound this, leading edge slats are being added. All this is roughly equivalent to the 1.04 drag change in size and scope. It's gonna be interesting, that's for sure!
Work on another set of Ground School pages is almost complete. The P-51 (bravo and delta models), P-47 (charlie and delta models) page sets are both nearly done. And yes, I will be rewriting every page once AH2 is released to reflect the new changes in flight modeling.
Did some minor rearranging about the site. Added additional info in the Maneuvers section, updated Tactical Examples and a half-dozen other pages.
Pyro's interview with SimHQ tells some of what to expect in AHII. While most of it is pretty vague, you can get an idea of what AHII might be like. For those of you asking when screen shots will be released, the answer is pretty simple; soon. How soon? Longer than a little while, faster than later.
This site won the Golden Web Award for 2003-04; it's at the bottom of the main page. The main page was also updated with some new info about this site.
A couple pieces of news for today. As you probably noticed, I shrank the font size site-wide. Just a minor change to make more information readable. Well, that and several people told me their blind granny could read the pages from across the room.
Pyro has been posting fairly often here lately. Explaining some parts of the damage model, telling folks a little about how things in AHII are going to work. But the big news is over at SimHQ. An interview with ol Pyro is supposed to go up sometime this month regarding AHII. So keep an eye out for it!
HiTech announced Aces High II today. AH will split into two separate "worlds", as it were. One will be the regular Aces High we all know and love, only with a few changes. Better textures and models, totally different terrain, better special effects, and the like. The second part will be AH II, a mission-based game. A flight sim and a role-playing game in one as it were. To begin, you'll have to go through training and start out as a cadet. After winning so many missions you get promoted to Lt. Ops will be pre-built and include some AI ground vehicles or AI bombers. So it looks like ol HT will have to delve into the dreaded AI code, ala Warbirds. Hopefully this new AI won't have the WB AI's notorious UFO handling!
Converted the whole site to use style sheets. You guys using antique (4.x) browsers might not be able to see everything unless you upgrade. Also updated at least a two dozen pages: some explanations make more sense, added more detail, removed useless material, checked for and removed typos where found. Updated the Jabo page with some new bombing techniques too.
News page chopped down to a more manageable size, and a news archive created.
The first update of the new year! Lessons Learned was extensively updated; the first page was completely rewritten, while the second had a few minor fixes. Both First Flight pages were edited. Added a Stall & Spin page under The Basics to explain stalls and spins. Broke the Maneuvers page up so each maneuver is listed on its own page.
Well, 1.11 got kicked out the door yesterday along with the first patch. Now if I could only figure out what they changed....(this is a running joke). The B5N, Tiger I E, Me-163, and Ju-87D3 are all included along with a mess of fixes/additions. You can tell they're still working on the new mission arena, though. As this release is thin compared to what the boys (and girls!) at HTC usually pull off.
Updated the Ground School with pages for both the Me-262 and the Me-163. Next up? Three pages for the P-47 and two for the P-51!
Hitech posted a short version of the 1.11 readme listing several dozen fixes, and a few new features. It won't be released this week, which leaves either the 20th or the 27th as the date. Anyone wanna start a 1.11 pool?
Some news! About time huh? The P-51D is getting a facelift, and a B5N Kate will be joining the stable along side the Me-163 and the new Tiger I tank. Plus, a bit of graphical news. The muzzle flash from firing the guns will now cast light on the wings and fuselage! Hopefully this will also mean that tanks firing their main guns will throw a flash on the ground. Naturally, who knows what else they'll throw in for us!
Added more voice calls from the USAF 3-1 brevity manual to the voice calls list, and organized the list alphabetically. Partially rewrote the Radio Jargon index page and removed the master calls list. With so many using voice-comms these days, there's no need for it.
Added another trick to the Maneuvers page called Driving to the Corner. Quite possibly the best way known to defeat a break turn.
Two, well three big bits of news today. So far a pair of fresh tid-bits have been released by HTC. First, one of the new aircraft for 1.11 is indeed the Me-163 Komet. Second, the new tank (about time fellas!) will be the Panzer VI Tiger. Who knows what else is in the works!
The long-promised Ground School section has been (finally) added. Only four aircraft are covered at the moment but that will expand as time permits. As usual, anyone can submit a write-up. Those who do will be given full credit.
Lots of folks have been having trouble with 1.10 patch 4 lately. Seems the more they patch it, the more trouble it causes. They'll fix it eventually, always have.
Mark this down on your calendar: Three years ago today this site was created. In another week or so, a new section will be added called Ground School which notes the vices, quirks, and habits of several aircraft.
Closed the entire Files section until a new web host is found.
Patch 3 is out and should fix the lockup/CTD glitch. If not? Keep screamin, they'll find the bugger!
Turns out Mitsu's sound pack was only responsible for very few of the problems people were reporting. Which is most likely their system config and not his sounds directly.
The server which currently hosts The Ultimate Sound Pack has died, so downloading it at the moment is impossible. Once a new host is found it will again be available, without any of the troubles experienced with past hosts.
A rather interesting development has come up involving Mistu's Sound Collection and 1.10p2. It seems that his collection of sounds is actually responsible for a small number of the crashes and lockups. What the actual glitch might be with them is unknown, as wave files can't really cause many hiccups. Either they play or they don't. Though when you add proximity sounds in with the usual engine and guns, they can overload the sound system. But that rarely, if ever, happens on a good computer. Still, if Mitsu needs help with sounds, he need only ask.
As a side note, USP 3.0 is still being cranked out though at a slower pace than normal. It will be released when it gets finished.
Patch two was released yesterday but people are still seeing gobs of bugs both with the new additions and the new map. Hopefully patch #3 will be booted out the door soon so all the weirdness will go away.
Patch one got kicked out the door today! Most of the annoying bugs (as usual) were nailed in the first shot, though a few still linger. If you were waiting for the initial bugs to get fixed before downloading, now's the time!
Aces High 1.10 released today. Full details are mostly below, but if you want the official version, head on over here....All the 1.10 details. For reference, 1.10 is a 33 meg download.
Yes, the busted link for Getting Started is finally fixed. Pyro tossed a little news out there regarding a few things. Instead of a four bomber box, we'll be getting three bomber boxes. Meaning you fly one buff, while the computer tries to keep up with your crazy stunts with two others. Also, details of the Tin Horn Help Club have been released. Details of it are over here.
Here's the total list for 1.10 and it's BIG....
New aircraft (known types): P-40B (AVG markings), P-40E, F4F-4, FM-2, A6M2, A-20G, Boston Mk III, D3A1, SBD-5
Film Viewer improvements: Add or remove voice and text from a film, move to and capture different view angles, ability to start a film by double-clicking on it in Windows
Bomber improvements: Bomb dispersion, bombsight calibration, computer-controlled wingmen, interruption gear for buff guns
For a minor side note, the screen shots section (Misc > Recon Photos) has three new additions.
